Hang Ups Creative Picture Framing has been framing your memories since opening its doors in June of 1995. We are nestled in the heart of Downtown Brockville, across from a local landmark - Don's Fish & Chips, and surrounded by fantastic neighbours, including Heavenly Touch Spa. 

We believe in using only the best in framing materials, from archival quality mats to UV protective glass, and frames made by craftsmen throughout Canada and Europe. 

Hang Ups is also a destination to discover home goods, jewellery, gifts and more from Canadian artisans and Canadian fair-trade companies.

Meet Our Team

ANNE 

With my background as a custom clothing designer for 20 years, colour and design are my forte. I had an opportunity to learn custom framing 11 years ago and it spoke to my heart. These two passions of mine allow me to approach projects from a different angle.

I love things that are aged, that have historical significance (especially given the building we have!). The frame I’ve chosen is the perfect combination of Old World elegance meets New World shabby chic.The outer frame is from Fotiou’s new Devlan collection, a distressed poplar in the hottest new cobblestone colouring while the inner is a Larson Juhl moulding in an aged silver ornate scroll pattern.  I love combining different elements to create a new vision and to expand the way people perceive framing.

As a business owner I believe that we have to give back to our community, so we are always trying both personally and professionally to be able to assist our community through volunteering.

After completing university in Waterloo, I moved back to Brockville in 2013 and immediately joined the team (yes, we are a mother-daughter team!)

Choosing a frame for your piece can be a journey, since there are many things to consider, but my goal is to make it as enjoyable as possible when you're here with us. It's important to know that there are many great ways to frame something, but what resonates with you is the most perfect way to frame YOUR piece. We want you to love it and we want your frames to hang on your walls for decades.

When I'm not here framing, merchandising, creating content for our social media, or cutting the grass (ah, the multi-faceted talents of small business people!), you can find me knitting, taking photographs of our beautiful city, or soaking in the sun on the patio of one of our local downtown restaurants.
